MbiraGen is an excellent semi-generative sequencer plugin. This plugin has been basically design f or producing MIDI notes seamlessly. In this plugin, there are more than 12 melodies and it is based on a sequencer as well. All of its melodies come with 4 variations so you can select round-robin easily. In addition, each melody is a 5 × 4 grid and in that grid the vertical direction indicated note pitch. Similarly, the horizontal direction indicates time. The pitches of this plugin are assigned and based on the combination of settings. Besides that, the mode, the tonic note, the interval, the scale assigned to the melody. Also, the individual scale degrees are originally represented by the vertical positions in melody generally.
